Other School Weather Clubs
Here are some school weather clubs online that we know about: Maiden Erlegh School (Reading, Berkshire) has its own Weather Club, run by a Geography teacher, for pupils in Years 7-9. They meet weekly after school and take part in a whole range of weather related activities – conducting weather experiments, making models, measuring the weather and much more. They are lucky to have hosted two different guest speakers from the Met Office and they have also been to a local feeder primary school to host a Weather Workshop with Year 6s. They are fortunate to have their own automated weather station that collects data and publishes it live to the internet. It has forged strong community links and has made the local press on a number of occasions.
