The Highland Institute for Contemporary Art, Institute of Physics in Scotland and Royal Meteorological Society are running a cloud chamber based event in the Scottish Highlands, through July and August 2015.

Build a Cloud Chamber Workshop
Join this workshop and build a cloud chamber to enjoy the beauty of cosmic ray tracks and to see elementary particles!
A Diffusion Cloud Chamber will also be available to view and will be presented by Alan Walker from the University of Edinburgh.

Wilson Chamber Images: The aesthetic of the sub-atomic – presented by Murdo Macdonald
CTR Wilson was the inventor of the cloud chamber and Scotland’s only Nobel laureate in Physics, winning the prize in 1927. The exhibition opens with a preview and a talk by Murdo Macdonald on the work of CTR Wilson on 4 July 7-9pm.
