The pupils from form 7D [11-12 yr olds ] will be taking part in this
project as part of the Geography curriculum for this term.

Latitude 52 28'n; longitude 1 55.5'w; height above sea level 152m.

The school is about a mile s.w. of the city centre, in a very leafy area
that is next to the Botanical Gardens. Surrounding properties are
very substantial, some converted in to prestigious offices and some
retained as family homes.

Our observations will be taken at the top of one of the school
[3rd floor buildings during morning break; this will be between
10.00 and 10.30 am.

Equipment: At present we do not have a vast selection of weather recording equipment
but we will attempt to record the following; max and min temps, current temp,
precipitation, wind speed and direction,
cloud cover, current weather and we will attempt pressure and relative humidity
if at all possible.

We expect the weather to be mild, cloudy and wet as various depressions pass
over the area. However, if we have a high during the project we may have cold
temperatures, clear skies and sunshine!

average daily maximum temperature = 5 to 6 degrees c.
average daily minimum temperature = 2 degrees c.
average relative humidity = 80% approximately
average precipitation in january = 74mm with 17 rain days
average precipitation in february = 54mm with 15 rain days
