Achille Ferris, Msida, Malta

This is Year 5A of Achille Ferris Primary School Msida Malta.
We are 24 children in class, 14 boys  and 10 girls, all between 9 
and 10 years of age. This is the second year that our school is 
taking part in this project. 
 
Our teacher is Miss Victoria Bajada with Mr Alfred Mifsud as coordinator. 
He is also an Assistant Head of our school. 
 
Malta is a very small island in the middle of the 
Mediterranean Sea. It lies south of Sicily. Msida lies near the sea 
and it is highly populated village. 
 
We shall be doing our readings at about 9.00a.m. from the roof of 
the school and we'll be using very simple instruments some of which 
we'll be making ourselves. 
 
Usually January is the coldest month having both rainy and sunny 
days.When it's rainy it tends to be colder but it takes only some 
hours of sunshine to get warm once again. The first two weeks of 
this month have been very wet and rainfall is quite high for the 
season.
