MetLink Activity
28 (options for different age groups)
Investigating
today’s weather – Wednesday 8 February 2006
In this current active phase of
the MetLink project, we have now established a standard format for
investigating the weather each day.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR UK
PARTICIPANTS: A special activity dealing with the major changes that have
occurred in British weather over the past 24 hours will be published as soon as
today’s resources become available from our Internet sources. It will contain different
work suitable for all age groups. UK participants may wish to use the special
activity rather than this Activity 28.
Option 1: To see the format for Getting an overall picture of
what is happening with the weather for
ages 7 to 11 years, please refer to
MetLink Activity 5 by clicking here.
Option 2: To see the format for Weather around Europe for ages 11 to 14 years,
please refer to MetLink Activity 8 by clicking here.
Option 3: To see the format for Weather around Europe for ages 14 to 16, please refer to MetLink Activity 7 by clicking here.
Option 4: To see the format for Weather around the
British Isles for ages 16+, please refer to
MetLink Activity 6 by clicking here.
Important note: The activity format in
Options 2, 3 and 4 can be applied to any world area and resource links are provided for all world areas.
The resource links on each of
these activity pages relate to Tuesday 31 January 2006.
To obtain the resources for
today so that they can be applied to the activity format chosen, please click here. This will take you directly to the resources gallery
page for today. Please remember, though,
that the day’s resources appear in the resources gallery only as they become
available on the Internet. So, for example, the resources for the most advanced
time zones, Australia and the Far East, become available first. Resources for
the other world areas then become available in time zone order until, finally,
the resources for the Americas appear.
This Activity 28 page will
remain locked into the resources for Wednesday 8 February. A new activity page will be produced each day locked into
that day’s resources.
