Work Experience

The Society offers a small number of work experience placements each year. The Society is mainly an administrative body (i.e. not directly forecasting) and work experience placements tend to be within our membership, education and public engagement departments, with work ranging from helping to develop classroom resources, to researching ways of lowering the society carbon footprint to helping the society set up for an exhibition or conference. However, there are sometimes opportunities to sit in on radio broadcasts and to attend talks. Some of our past students made a diary of their week with us at the society, so to get some idea of what we may offer please take a look at their work on the links below. Also please take a look at the other careers information on this website.
